Biography
Arshan Ghasemi was an 18-year-old dual Iranian-Canadian citizen and a polymer engineering student at the University of Sciences and Research, Islamic Azad University. He was killed on January 8, 2026, at Haft-e Tir Square in Tehran during the Lion and Sun revolutionary protests. He died after being shot directly in the neck. Arshan was pictured smiling while holding a first-place RoboCup trophy.
آرشان قاسمی جوان ۱۸ ساله ایرانی-کانادایی و دانشجوی مهندسی پلیمر در دانشگاه علوم و تحقیقات، دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی بود. او در تاریخ ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در میدان هفتتیر تهران و در جریان اعتراضات انقلابی شیر و خورشید کشته شد. او بر اثر شلیک مستقیم به گردنش جان باخت. آرشان پیش از این، در حالی که تندیس مقام اول مسابقات ربوکاپ را در دست داشت، در تصاویری لبخندزنان دیده شده بود.
